Is a 5G-enabled mobile phone necessary for the connection?

Da das WLAN-Netzwerk der Drohne auf einer 5 GHz Frequenz sendet, muss dein Smartphone ein solches WiFi-Signal empfangen können. 5G (Mobilfunk) hat damit nichts zu tun.

Is a license required for the drone?

Ja, da dieses Drohnenmodell über 250g wiegt, ist mindestens der kleine Drohnenführerschein erforderlich. Dieser kann bereits für aktuell 25€ online beim Luftfahrtbundesamt abgelegt werden und ist in jedem Fall eine sinnvolle Anschaffung.

Yes, insurance is mandatory for flying any type of drone. Some private liability insurances already cover drones. Otherwise, such insurance is available for just a few euros per year.

Do I need to register this drone?

Every drone equipped with a camera must be marked with an eID before its first flight. You can obtain this online from the Federal Aviation Office when you register as an operator there.
