Since the drone's Wi-Fi network broadcasts on a 5 GHz frequency, your smartphone must be able to receive such a Wi-Fi signal. This has nothing to do with 5G (mobile communication).

Yes, insurance is mandatory for flying any type of drone. Some private liability insurances already cover drones. Otherwise, such insurance is available for just a few euros per year.

Any drone equipped with a camera must be marked with an eID before its first flight. You can obtain this online from the Federal Aviation Office once you register there as an operator.
